The gender distraction

I'm going to keep this blog short; just like the argument on this issue should have been.

Marissa Mayer, the Yahoo CEO, landed up 2 hours late to a dinner with the advertising community.

She shouldn't have.

Being punctual is a professional trait.

Hence being two hours late is not professional, whatever the reason.

Gender has no place in this argument.

Yet..

Marissa Mayer was late to a commitment. Being a woman has nothing to do it.

Neither to it's act nor to the consequence.

There are many professional situations where gender discrimination should be questioned.

This is just not one of them.
